The life of someone else

To Alexandra

16 \ 2 \ 2009

Swarm of flying crows
Swirling around the bronze statue
In a static day before the rain

The fire burning in the barrel
Warming a homeless for a few moments before sleep

The pain heretofore
Is just a hot breeze on an autumn day

You will wake up to see the dream once again
Just an illusion
You will be living an illusion
Until it becomes your only truth

Some artists paint abstract emotions...Sami is the clever artist with the pen summoning you to think. Like a really good song I can listen to in any context (good or bad), this poem is kind of like that song. It is the moment of relief you get from the first drag off of a cigarette. It is the moment you realize you are...human.

" the illusion ... becomes the truth"
