Aleko, The last Gypsy

27-12-2011

Knights without horses
Wondering in a festive city
Olive green windows painted as they see,
Waiting for it to open,
A thousand moths come out flying.

At the end of the corridor,
A Sufi dancer ,
with one hand reaching out to take from god,
and the other to give to them

The read headed girl

11-15-2011

The free mermaid
Crawling deep in the lake
Echoing the same old words
On love and death

A girl laughs
In a loud tune
As a soprano singer
Attracting everyone to her with passion

What you see in the mirror
Is what you avoid
You look at yourself
But not for yourself

The silent table

20-9-2011

When the sun kisses the trees
The comrades salute you with their transparent glasses
To say goodbye to the city that you havent been to

Waiting at the gate
A moment of silence passes
You listen to the voice of your grandmother
Singing to you before sleep
You smile
And leave

Your true self

6-9-2011

In a glorious festival
We meet on the flowers bridge
Once a year, we throw a tulip
Commemorating the passing of one year
You become happily miserable
The small dreams,
Are what bring us together

The Animals Chant

20-04-2010

Pigeons’ statues ;
Made of glass;
In take-off position;
As a determined flock

A hunter with his rifle;
Motivated to hunt

The spring winds arrive;
Inflating life in them;
They aggressively fly

The black swan
In the lake, swimming
Recklessly it moves
Voices resound from afar

The owls stand throughout the night
With the sunrise;
They Hoot;
Remembering the names
On the day the forest forgot

The boy who never cried

12-03-2011

The brave knight
In pride, on top of his horse
He possesses all the characteristics of knighthood
even though he never took out his sword

In an earlier chat
About the hidden beast
That wonders in the closet
I looked at you, dressed in tears
You whisper in my ears:
Everything will be alright

In the following morning,
We were drinking green tea
With a lemon twist
I drew for you blue sky with singing birds
When the knight marched
From behind the trees
Sword-less
